T1he settings in this section are related to this Workflow Function Icon in your home Dashboard. The name of the icon may differ based on th
e name defined in the control mapping module of the application.

As organizations have different names for their
funding source (Funds, Awards, Grants, Fellowships, Scholarships, or Competitions). To change the name, see the
Control Mapping settings.
The settings in this section control what you will see regarding items in the set up your funding source.
Some organizations want to have at their fingertips information on their funding sources without having to constantly consult with their external systems. CommunityForce has made available those items in this section. You can choose whether or not you wish to use them and define the values. Prior to setting this section up it is important to determine which controls you would like to use.
Tip:Best Practice – we suggest that you review your funding source and decide what you need keep track of in this system before proceeding in editing this section.

The items are configurable depending on your organization’s process. By default these are set at NO with the exception of Enable Fund Contact and Enable Fund Donor. If you wish to use a specific feature simply select YES and Save the section.
Here is brief explanation and examples of how each item can be used:
Enable Fellowship Typeif your organizations has specific types of funding sources you could classify them using this control. For example, if you offered Merit Based and Financial Need Based Scholarships. You could create two types to classify your funding source.
To provide a list, you must enter in the text box below the values you wish to show in a dropdown. Enter your values this way only: Select~Merit~Financial
Enable Grant/Fellowship Group if your organization has specific groups that provide funding you could classify them using this control.

Enable Award By: if your organization has specific departments that provide funding, you could classify them using this control.

Enable Funding Source if your organization has a specific funding source that provides funding, you could classify them using this control.

Enable Grant/Fellowship Aid ID if your organization has a specific ID number, code or identification for each funding source. Tuning on this control will provide a text box for you to enter the specific id.
Enable Grant/Fellowship Project ID if your organization has a specific project ID for each funding source. Tuning on this control will provide a text box for you to enter the specific id.
The following items can be turned on if you wish to record any of the following information. Each item will provide a text box for you to enter the appropriate information.
Enable Academic Year this allows you to define the Academic Year the award is being offered in.
Enable Renewable Years this allows you to state how many years an award is renewable for.
Enable No of Scholarships Offered this allows you to define the number of awards being offered on that particular funding source.
Enable Date Established this allow you to record the date the award was established
Enable Minimum Amount this allows you to record the minimum amount that an award will be awarded at.
Enable Maximum Amount this allows you to record the maximum amount that an award will be awarded at.
Enable Last Updated On this allows you to enter a date when you update any information in this particular funding source.
Enable Reason Updated this will allow you to record the reason for the update. You can define the reason. A text box is provided for you to enter the values. Be sure to enter this way:

Enable Closed On this allows you to enter a date that the funding source is closed and is no longer being used.
Enable Reason Closed this will allow you to record the reason for closing the funding source. You define the reason. A text box is provided for you to enter the values. Be sure to enter this way:

Enable Fund Contact this will activate the Add Contact Button on the Funding Source. This will allow you to attach the Admin responsible for this funding source. The contact would be the key person responsible for maintaining the fund and is helpful for organizations with multiple administrators/divisions, overseeing different funds within the CommunityForce system. The contact must have a user account already created in the CommunityForce site.

Enable Fund Donor this will activate the Add Donor Button on the Funding Source Donors. You will be able to add the following information about a donor:

Enable Application Information This control will provide you with an editor’s box to customize a message regarding specific application information as it relates to this funding source. The information will be viewable in the Search under Funding Source details for the particular award.
Enable Special Eligibility Requirements This control will provide you with an editor’s box to customize a message regarding Special Eligibility Requirements set forth in the funding source that are required to be considered for this funding source. The information will be viewable in the Search under Funding Source details for the particular award.
Enable Restrictions to Use of Award This control will provide you with an editor’s box to customize a message regarding Restrictions to how the funding source shall be used if awarded. The information will be viewable in the Search under Funding Source details for the particular award.
Enable Links to Additional Information This control will provide you with an editor’s box to customize a message regarding Links to Additional Information that you may want to include for this specific funding source. The information will be viewable in the
Search under Funding Source details for the particular award.
Show Funds based on Role Types
When making changes to Site Settings it is important to save any changes you have made in order for them to take effect.

Save Save changes and return back to Administration Dashboard Save and
Exit – Save changes and return to the Administration Dashboard
Cancel – Clears all data from the fields.
Exit Undo changes and return to the Administration Dashboard
